UP Weather Update: Relief Rains to End, Intense Heatwave Expected from October 8
The weather across Uttar Pradesh took a pleasant turn on Monday, with evening showers bringing respite to many areas, including the capital, Lucknow. However, this relief is expected to be short-lived. According to forecasts, the state is set to experience a significant rise in temperatures starting Tuesday, October 8.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated that the monsoon will begin its gradual withdrawal, leading to clear skies and a subsequent spike in the heat. This spell of intense weather is predicted to last until at least October 12.
While isolated parts of Western and Eastern UP might still experience rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds on Tuesday, October 7, a major reduction in rainfall activity is anticipated thereafter. From October 8, Western UP is expected to see completely clear weather, with Eastern UP following suit by October 9.
The IMD has also issued alerts for thunderclouds and lightning on Tuesday for numerous districts across the state, including Varanasi, Lucknow, Kanpur, Ayodhya, Bareilly, and Saharanpur, among others. Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather warnings.
