Heavy Rain Alert: Jammu Schools Closed for Two Days, Vaishno Devi Yatra Temporarily Suspended
All government and private schools across the Jammu division will remain closed on Monday and Tuesday following a weather advisory forecasting heavy rainfall from October 5th to 7th. The order was issued by the Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) to ensure student safety.
Director of School Education Jammu, Naseem Javaid Chowdhary (JKAS), stated that further updates will be provided based on the developing weather situation. In a related move, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has also announced a temporary suspension of the pilgrimage to the shrine for the same period due to the inclement weather forecast.
