Pakistan’s Sidra Amin Reprimanded for Breaching ICC Code of Conduct in World Cup Loss to India
Pakistan batter Sidra Amin has been officially reprimanded for violating the ICC Code of Conduct during her team’s high-stakes Women’s ODI World Cup match against India.
The International Cricket Council confirmed that Amin breached Article 2.2 of the code, which relates to “abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during an International Match.” The incident occurred following Amin’s dismissal in the high-pressure contest.
Amin accepted the sanction proposed by Match Referee Shandre Fritz, meaning no formal hearing was required. As a result, one demerit point has been added to the player’s disciplinary record.
