Pawan Kalyan’s ‘OG’ Smashes Box Office Records: Crosses ₹300 Crore in 11 Days
Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated film ‘OG’ has not only met but exceeded the sky-high expectations of fans and critics alike. The film has officially set a new benchmark, becoming the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year so far.
Released on September 25th, ‘OG’ has achieved a monumental global collection, raking in over ₹308 crores within just 11 days. The film’s production house, DVV Entertainment, shared the news on social media with the tagline: “No Rules. No Laws. Only the serious ‘LA’ remains. He is the Original Gangster.”
This massive success comes after the film set a career-best opening day record for Pawan Kalyan, collecting over ₹154 crores on its first day. It has now surpassed the previous year’s top film, Venkatesh and Anil Ravipudi’s ‘Sankranti,’ which had held the spot with nearly ₹300 crores.
Director Sujeeth, a self-proclaimed fan of the star, is being hailed for his stylish and powerful presentation of Pawan Kalyan on screen. The director has confirmed that the success of ‘OG’ is merely a “trailer” for what’s to come, officially announcing both a prequel and a sequel to further expand the universe. When asked about the potential involvement of Pawan Kalyan’s son, Akira Nandan, in the prequel, Sujeeth playfully declined to reveal details, stating that it would spoil the thrill.
