Bijapur’s Viral Scooter Stunt: Five Youths Risk Lives in Dangerous Highway Act, Police Launch Manhunt
A shocking video from Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, is spreading rapidly across social media, showing five young men performing an incredibly dangerous stunt on a single scooter. The incident, captured late on Sunday night near the old petrol pump area, has sparked widespread concern and prompted a swift response from local traffic police.
In the viral footage, four youths are seen crammed onto the scooter’s seat while a fifth is held aloft on the shoulders of those sitting at the back. None of the individuals were wearing helmets. When bystanders attempted to intervene, the group reportedly responded by making obscene gestures before speeding away to avoid being identified.
Local residents have expressed serious alarm over such reckless behavior, noting that despite previous police actions, dangerous stunts on the highway continue to pose a significant risk to both the perpetrators and the general public.
Authorities have confirmed that at least one of the youths involved is a minor. Kotwali In-charge Durgesh Sharma stated that an investigation is underway to identify all individuals involved. Police have emphasized that a loss of balance could have easily turned the stunt into a severe, life-threatening accident. A manhunt has been launched, and officials expect to apprehend the suspects shortly.
